📜 Tournament Format

Format

• Group Stage: Round Robin within each group per category.
• Top 2 teams advance to Single Elimination Knockout rounds.
• Slight adjustments to the format may be made in-line with participation numbers.

For Team Category (MS/WS/MD/WD/MXD):

Each team tie will comprise of maximum 5 individual matches (in a best of 5 format), where teams will field their members to compete in:
- 1 x Men's Singles
- 1 x Women's Singles
- 1 x Men's Doubles
- 1 x Women's Doubles
- 1 x Mixed Doubles

For GE Team Category (MD/WD/MXD):

Each team tie will comprise 3 individual matches, where teams will field their members to compete in:

• 1 x Men's Doubles
• 1 x Women's Doubles
• 1 x Mixed Doubles

📝 Scoring Format

Group Stages to Quarterfinals

• Rally 15 Points
• 1 Set
• 1 Minute-Timeout per match
• No Deuce (Sudden Death)

Semifinals to Finals

• Rally 21 Points
• 1 Set
• 2 Timeouts (1 minute each) per match
• No Deuce (Sudden Death)

✅ Eligibility Requirements

• No refunds for disqualified players or teams.
• Players under 17 must submit a signed waiver and get approval from the Tournament Director.
• DUPR-rated players must submit valid ID.
• Self-evaluation allowed for players with no DUPR rating (subject to approval).
• No multiple DUPR accounts. Violations = disqualification + report to DUPR.
• DUPR has reviewed these requirements.
• Participation in the Great Malaysia Pickleball Cup 2025 is strictly limited to Malaysian citizens only. All registered players will be required to present valid proof of citizenship (e.g., MyKad or Malaysian passport) during the registration process and/or upon check-in at the tournament.
